A zombie outbreak at the Influencer Awards.

I’ve been sitting on this idea for a while now. At the start of 2020 there were signs that we were heading into lockdown. Many events were being cancelled as COVID began to spread around the world. I was hanging out with my friend who told me, “Can you believe it? They cancelled the Influencer Awards. They hold the Influencer Awards every year on an island in Dubai. All of the world’s biggest influencers were supposed to fly in but they had to cancel the event.”

Immediately the idea for the movie hit me:

A travel vlogger is getting footage in a remote cave in South East Asia. As she is filming content she trips and falls, cutting her leg during the fall. The next day she hops on a flight heading directly to the Influencer Awards. Over the course of the flight she begins to feel worse and worse. The cut on her leg is not healing the way it is supposed to…

A zombie virus begins to spread among the guests of the island. The world’s top influencers are all becoming infected. A news crew sent on assignment to cover the Influencer Awards slowly starts to realize that something is terribly wrong here.

The world must decide, do we save the people trapped on the island? Do we keep the virus contained and risk losing our most beautiful influencers? The title of the movie is INFLUENZA.
